<p>The Broadsword receivers were designed primarily for precision applications.&nbsp;Incorporating feedback from the professional long range shooting community, we set out to implement a number of features desirable to the precision shooter.</p><p><br></p><p>Most notably, we increased the trigger reach by .5”.&nbsp;This was done by shifting the grip to the rear so the Broadsword lower remains 100% compatible with standard dimension upper receivers.&nbsp;This makes is far easier to have the first pad of the trigger finger in contact with the trigger shoe, than is typically possible on standard forged lowers.</p><p><br></p><p>Other features added include an enlarged magazine well for easier reloads from the prone, and an ambidextrous bolt release as well for easier manipulations from prone as well.</p><p><br></p><p>While these features were developed with precision use in mind, users with large hands might appreciate these features even on non-precision focused carbines, as well.</p><p><br></p><p>The Grip tang has been moved ½” rearward to optimize finger positioning on the trigger shoe, for reduced fatigue and increased ergonomics. The use of the FCD ESF end plate is suggested as grips with extended “beavertail” tangs will otherwise protrude beyond the rear of the receiver.</p><p>The lower receiver features a Right Side Bolt Release for convenient reloading from prone positions. (RH bolt release assembly included).</p><p>The magazine well is significantly flared beyond the standard dimensions on our forged lowers.</p><p>The trigger guard is integral and highly radiused for comfort.</p><p>Precision machined from 7075 Billet Aluminum.The M4-89 is the premier fighting rifle we offer.
